If a power outage occurs while the switch is on, the bulb continues to light using its built-in battery until the battery is depleted or the switch is turned off.

For proper operation, only one emergency bulb should be connected to a switch. Multiple emergency bulbs must not be connected in parallel. The presence of an indicator light (neon lamp) in the switch may cause the bulb to malfunction.
